Our group is interested in the development and/or improvement of several technologies in the related fields of anesthesia and critical care, including photoplethysmography, transcutaneous venous oximetry, near infrared spectroscopy, arterial waveform analysis, non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and ultrasound / doppler signal analysis. In addition to developing our own technology, we have conducted clinical trials of products relatively new to the marketplace (non-invasive hemoglobin, radial tonometry, transcutaneous CO2).
