Dr. Shayn Peirce-Cottler    /    smp6p@virginia.edu

I am an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia and a member of the Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC). My current research interests include microvascular growth and remodeling, wound healing, and agent-based computational modeling of multi-cell tissue patterning processes. I co-teach the year-long BME Capstone Design course, which is a required course for all undergraduates at UVA majoring in BME. I also co-teach a graduate-level Computational Systems Bioengineering course with Dr. Jason Papin in BME. I publish under the name Shayn M. Peirce (my maiden name).
