May 2008:   Congrulations to Dr. Alex Bailey who, on May 1, successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Manipulation of the Adhesion Cascade for Enhancement of Therapeutic Cell Trafficking during Ischemia." Please see the Photo Gallery for pictures from his defense and graduation on May 18, 2008. In other news, Pete Amos's investigation of adipose stem cells in a perivascular role has been accepted for publication in an upcoming issue of Stem Cells!

April 2008:   The Peirce-Cottler laboratory is growing! Roy Wheat, MS, has joined our team and is the new full-time Lab Manager & Technician. In other news, recent work characterizing the functional adhesion capabilities of adipose stem cells has been published in Annals of Plastic Surgery. See "Publications" for details; Congratulations to Pete Amos for his hard work.

March 2008:   Congratulations to Matt Kraeutler for being selected as a Harrison Award Winner! This award will provide Matt with year-long funding for his independent research project on adipose stem cells. This work will be conducted in Dr. Katz's lab, a strong collaborator.
